Group Meeting Minutes

Last year, having my groups write up meeting minutes was quite successful.  I found that it helped the groups stay focused and a quick glance at their minutes helped me get a feel for the direction the group was headed in.  

 

Here is a printable Word version of the minutes.  Below is a generalized Google Docs version of the assignment directions I've given for the group meeting minutes:

 

Use this document when your group meets.  Someone should be designated to write minutes during the meeting.  

Steps:

  1. View the template
  2. Within the template, click 'File' and then 'Make a Copy'
  3. Find the template in your Google Drive, right click and rename it to something like "Group Meeting *date*"
  4. Share the document with the other members of your group.
    1. Within the document, click the blue 'Share' button.
    2. Type in the members of your group.
    3. In the message field, let them know you're sharing the minutes for your group.
