Checking Existing Submissions for Plagiarism

by Jim Brooks on 2022-10-25T13:50:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

If a student has already submitted a paper and you'd like to run it through a plagiarism checker, there's a simple way to do that.

Here are the steps:
  1. Edit the assignment
  2. Turn Unicheck on (default settings are great)
  3. Save the assignment change
  4. Open speedgrader
  5. Click to submit the paper through Unicheck.
  6. Come back to the speedgrader in about 5 minutes to see the results.

Interpreting the results:
This site will show you how to read the results.  One thing to keep in mind is that matches don't necessarily mean that plagiarism has occurred.  As the instructor, you'll want to look into high scores to determine why the score is so high.
