Information without context is fine for memorization, but to really understand a concept, it must be explored in a variety of contexts - observed in the wild, as it were.
That is why learning is a social activity, and that is why libraries are social spaces, common spaces in which ideas can be strengthened. And that is why I am here to make your life easier.
I am one of BC's librarians, and my focus is on keeping Brevard College Library's electronic systems running, like making sure your computer can access our videos and ebooks, building and maintaining BC's many Research Guides, and creating seasonal decor out of stacks of very large books. Before receiving a master's degree in library and information science from the University of Iowa, I studied creative writing and chemistry at Appalachian State University, pounded nails, and spent a lot of time in our National Forests.
